Bomb blasts kill 25 in Nigeria
Twenty-five people were killed in northeastern Nigeria as three bombs exploded, media reported on Sunday.
Nigerian authorities were quoted as saying that the bomb attack, which also wounded 12 others, was carried out by Boko Haram, an Islamic sect in that area in Sunday afternoon. They said the attack was targeting outdoor beer gardens.
Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the deadly bomb attack on the police headquarters in the country's capital of Abuja this month.
The group has recently carried out a series of attacks since its first arm of insurrection in the state in July, 2009, during which many were killed and wounded while properties were destroyed.
