At least 10 killed in German train collision

THE death toll has risen to 10 when a passenger train collided with a cargo one late yesterday in eastern Germany, local media reported. Some 20 others were seriously injured when the freight train collided with a passenger train in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, said the German Press Agency dpa, citing police sources. Both trains were ablaze following the incident and the reason for the collision was not immediately known, said dpa.
