The new two-seater car, which is powered by an 800cc TDI two-cylinder diesel engine linked to an electric motor, emits just 38 grams of carbon dioxide per mile travelled.The car, which is likely to be the vehicle of choice for green enthusiasts, was unveiled at the Qatar motor show this week, and is likely to go on sale in 2013 first in Britain and German at an affordable price, the Daily Mail reported.The XL1 car weighs just 795 kg as it is built around a carbon fiber reinforced polymer exterior, and it can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 11.9 seconds and has a top speed of 99mph.The car is just under four meters long, the same size as the Volkswagen Polo, and! sits lo wer off the ground than a Lamborghini sports car at 1.18 meter tall.
