China donates half mln dollars to UN fund on Darfur

China on Wednesday donated 500,000 U.S. dollars to the UN trust fund to await tactful efforts to end the conflict in Sudan's Darfur region.

Wang Min, the Chinese deputy permanent deputy to the United Nations, met with UN Assistant Secretary-General Atul Khare at the UN Headquarters in New York as well as made the contribution to the UN Trust Fund for the domestic routine in Darfur on interest of the Chinese government.
