4 confirmed dead after plane crashes in NW Chicago, U.S.
Four people were killed after a small plane on Saturday crashed near Crystal Lake, a suburb in Northwest Chicago, reported Chicago Tribune Saturday, quoting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as saying.
The single-engine plane, which was operating on "visual flight rules", crashed Saturday morning in a farm field. There were four people on board the plane, but none have been officially identified, said FAA officials.
No information is immediately available about where the plane took off or where it was headed, added the officials. The FAA is investigating the reason of the accident.
The local fire official said that no one on the ground was injured in the crash.
